The scholarship deadline for the upcoming school year has already passed, but you can apply next year for scholarships. You can also search for available awards.

Yes, there are! Though it depends when you applied. Sign in to your CUNY portal to see if a decision has been made, and feel free to call us at 718.951.5000 if you haven’t heard anything yet.

The admissions office has hosted a few new student receptions recently, which you should have received an email about. They are invitation-only events.

The office of Student Affairs hosts a new student orientation every semester. They haven’t published the date for the fall yet, but it’s usually held a day or two before classes start.

Once you’re on campus, check out what’s going on with the First College Year program. They have been hosting events that encourage students to mingle and find out how they can get the most out of the college experience.

If you’ve taken over 25 college credits *and* you’ve taken a college-level math and English class and received a grade of C or better, we won’t need to see SAT scores.

One of the coolest things about coming into the West Quad Center in the morning is seeing the reflection of the clock tower in all of the glass of this building.

For those new to campus, the West Quad houses the Enrollment Services Center, admissions, financial aid, registrar, bursar, athletics, the gym and the pool.

As soon as you take one college class after high school, you would be counted as a transfer student. We look for a GPA of 2.3 for all transfer students. If you have taken less than 25 credits, we still look at your high school academic record and you must meet the admission requirements for freshman as well. After you complete 25 college credits, we just look at your college record for admission purposes.

Definitely! For more information, you may want to contact the film and French department for more info on the particulars. Just a reminder, though — if you’re a freshman, you don’t have to declare your major until the beginning of your junior year. With a double major, you generally have less wiggle room to take other electives, so on the other hand you’d probably want to start taking French and film classes as soon as possible.

And since you mentioned “film” and “French” you got me thinking about my love for the French new wave. So here’s Antoine smoking a cigarette and reading Balzac.
